Privacy Policy

Information you provide: name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, order contents, account credentials, product reviews, and any message you send to our support team.

Payment information: card details are collected and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. Wayfare Gear receives only a payment token, the last four digits of the card and the card brand. We never store full card numbers.

Automatically collected information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.

To process, fulfill, ship and support your orders, including sending transactional emails such as order confirmations, shipping notifications and return labels.

To provide customer service, respond to inquiries and administer warranty claims.

To send marketing communications where you have opted in, and to measure the effectiveness of those communications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

To detect and prevent fraud, protect the security of the site, and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

To improve our products, merchandising and website performance through aggregated analytics.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (order fulfillment), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement, direct marketing to existing customers), consent (marketing to new subscribers, non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

We share information only with service providers who need it to perform work on our behalf: payment processors, shipping carriers, our email service provider, our analytics provider, our review platform and our customer support helpdesk. Each is contractually bound to protect your data and to use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Wayfare Gear, our customers or the public.

In the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the terms of this policy.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

Order and transaction records are retained for seven years to satisfy U.S. tax and accounting requirements. Marketing contact records are retained until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression period to honor your opt-out. Account data is retained until you request deletion.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to opt out of marketing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email vanguardeducationgroup@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We verify identity before acting on a request and respond within 45 days, or within one month where the GDPR applies.

California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf, subject to verification.

The entire site is served over TLS 1.3 encryption. Access to customer data within our organization is restricted to staff who need it, protected by unique credentials and multi-factor authentication, and logged. Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our store is intended for customers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we delete it promptly.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised effective date, and where required, by email to registered customers.
