The part you can't photograph
The briefcase that flaked apart in 2016 had a glued edge and a plated zipper. Ours are stitched twice through the hide, riveted at every anchor and load-tested at 40 kg for twenty-four hours before a pattern is approved.
Shop by category
Three categories, no filler. Every piece is cut from full-grain or top-grain hide and finished by hand.

Three weeks of daily carry and the corners have already darkened. Love it.

Top grain, soft hand, and the strap hasn't stretched an inch.
1,876 41Verified buyer

Loaded it with 9kg and the anchors didn't flinch. Solid brass, no plating.

Second year with this one. Scuffed in all the right places.

His briefcase, my sling. Same hide, aging completely differently.

Conditioned it once in eight months. That's the whole maintenance story.

Caught in the rain, wiped it down, patina got better.

Runs are limited by hide availability — usually 200 to 400 pieces — so finishes sell through and rarely come back.
Customer reviews
Pulled from confirmed orders on this store. We publish the two-star ones too.
I bought The Standard for client days and it has been on my shoulder five days a week since. The corners have darkened, one scratch buffed out with my thumb, and the stitching hasn't moved a millimetre.
A zipper pull sheared off after a rough baggage handoff. I emailed a photo on Tuesday and a replacement brass pull plus a care cloth arrived Thursday with a handwritten note. That's why I keep buying here.
I was skeptical about paying more than a mall bag, but the hide is genuinely thick and the dual clasp points mean I can wear it high on the chest or low on the hip. Phone, cards, keys, done.
The Coarse swallowed a weekend for two and the brass base studs have already saved the leather in a truck bed. Only note is that we'd love a black option — everything else was flawless, including two-day delivery.
Water beads off The Wax and the creases have lightened into that pull-up look I was hoping for. It carries my 16-inch laptop without the padded sleeve sagging.
The Journal
Written in the workshop. Mostly advice that costs nothing.
Leather care · 7 min
Four products, twenty minutes, twice a year. Everything else people sell you for leather care is optional.
Materials · 8 min
'Genuine leather' is the weakest claim on the shelf. Here is how to read a hide before you spend $400.

The darkening around the handle is not wear. It is the reason people keep these bags for fifteen years.
Everyday leather
A sling for phone, cards and keys. A belt bag for the days you carry nothing else. Softer top-grain hide, gunmetal zippers, dual clasp points so you can wear it high on the chest or low on the hip.
Why people come back
01
No bonded leather, no corrected split, no plastic coating pressed to look like grain. Every panel is cut from full-grain or top-grain cowhide and buffalo, so the bag darkens with handling instead of peeling.
02
Solid brass and gunmetal zippers, riveted D-rings and bar-tacked strap anchors. If a zipper pull or clasp ever fails, we ship the part and cover the repair for the first year.
03
We sell from our own workshop rather than through department stores, so a $435 briefcase is a $435 briefcase — not a marked-up $900 tag waiting for a sale sticker.
04
Every piece is checked stitch by stitch, oiled, wrapped in cotton and boxed the same day it ships from our New York studio.
Materials
Every leather we cut behaves differently. Here is what to expect from each one over the first year.
Ages fastest in year one
The top layer of the hide, tanned with bark extracts. Scratches burnish out with a thumb and the colour deepens where your hand rests.
Best for rain and city grit
Hot-waxed after tanning, so water beads instead of soaking. Creases lighten into a pull-up effect that reads vintage from week one.
Built for weight
Thicker and more open-grained than cowhide, which is why it carries a loaded duffle without stretching at the strap anchors.
Never rusts through
Solid brass zippers, base studs and D-rings, gunmetal on the black lines. They dull into a patina rather than flaking chrome.
End of season
These are genuinely the last pieces — we don't restock discontinued finishes
We'd rather clear a finish than carry it into next year's shelves. Same 1-year warranty, same free returns.
